What is a Shift in Your Consciousness?
You may have heard the term "shift in consciousness," but what does it truly mean? A shift in consciousness is the act of moving in and out of various levels of awareness. Each time you feel an experience fully, you are shifting in and out of different states of consciousness. Every feeling and memory you’ve ever experienced still exists, and, interestingly, each moment offers a choice to create from these different states.
In any given moment, your good or bad feelings aren’t just responses to your current situation. They are echoes, or imprints, of past experiences. When you recognize this, you gain the power to choose a new state of feeling—one that is more aligned with who you wish to be. If your current feeling doesn’t feel right, it’s likely an imprint from a past experience. By acknowledging it, you have the option to shift to a new, more empowering feeling.
Consciousness can be seen as layers, each with its own unique qualities. Telepathy, for example, is one such layer of consciousness. At this level, you experience truth without the usual emotional responses—anger, injustice, or resentment. These emotions simply don’t exist in higher consciousness. Instead, your responses begin to align with your source, bringing a sense of inner peace and clarity. Healing past imprints becomes possible as you naturally rise above the levels where they were created.
So how do you know if you’re entering a higher state of consciousness? When you can observe situations in your life that you don’t prefer, yet maintain a sense of inner calm and connection to what you do prefer, you’re experiencing this shift. This is the first sign of mastery: the ability to see things as they are while holding a vision of what they can be.
