What is it You Actually Have Control Over?

The Illusion of Control

There are so many things in life you divide yourselves with—things you have no control over.

Any time you move toward control, you are being governed by a fear within yourself. But here’s the truth: you cannot eliminate something through opposition. Instead, you expand it. You elevate its discomfort until, eventually, through suffering, you will surrender.

Why suffer? Why not simply surrender to what is felt as it is felt?

Nothing is Right or Wrong

Adopt this truth:

  • No one is right.
  • No one is wrong.
  • Nothing is good.
  • Nothing is bad.

Everything you experience is just a reaction to life—your life.

You think your reactions are caused by someone or something else. You believe suffering is inevitable. But here’s what’s truly inevitable: everything is chosen. Victimization does not exist.

The Reflection of Source

When we say everything is “chosen,” we mean there is a matching signal from you to you. It’s not coming from someone or someplace else. It is created by you.

There is just one source. It reflects to itself—and you are it.

When you recognize this, you gain access to unlimited creation and power. When you are asleep to this truth, you believe something outside of you has control, but it does not.

What Do You Actually Control?

You don’t get rid of control by denying how you feel—you release control by recognizing how you feel and how it is shaping your experience. This awareness—Divinity consciousness—begins to dominate your perceptions.

So what do you truly have control over?
Your free will choice of how you feel.

That’s it.

You think changing others or enforcing your views will make you feel better. It doesn’t. It only makes you feel worse.

The Trap of Control

What is held within you is creating your experience.

  • Moving to control only magnifies the things that make you feel unsafe.
  • You’ll feel tired, uncomfortable, distrusting, and angry.

When you are connected to Source, the only truth is love. Love flows freely through you when you align with it.

You don’t need to control life to feel safe. You need to surrender to it.

The Power of Surrender

Once you learn that surrender brings relief and peace, you will connect to an infinite source of solutions and flow.

In surrender:

  • You are at one with life.
  • You navigate in a direction that satisfies you.
  • You discover your true passion—not from the limited space of your current life, but from the expansive state of your Source.

Your passion exists in the infinite, awakened flow of all you are.

The Path to Real Power

Here’s the essence of it:

“I surrender to my human free will, and in that surrender, I become a witness. Through witnessing, the Divine aspect of me gains access to me.”

You do not control your experience by changing what you feel or what someone else feels. You achieve connection by surrendering to the higher power that flows through you.

Once you surrender, everything that is wanted and needed will naturally unfold. Your need to control will fade because you’ll realize:
The Universe is guiding you.

Observe and Release

If you find yourself trying to control:

  1. Observe it.
  2. Accept it with love.
  3. Surrender.

This observation creates space for the flow to reach you, releasing your need to guard, resist, or oppose.

Surrender with Peace

When you surrender, do not do so in indifference or apathy. Instead:

  • Surrender in an attitude of peace.
  • Trust that you are not surrendering to something unwanted.
  • Know that you are surrendering to the power that flows to you what you prefer.

Surrender is where your true power lies.
